The Republic of The Sudan has received a grant funds from the Transition Support Facility “TSE” of the African Development Fund to finance the Capacity Building for Improved Quality of the Education System and Skills Development Project. It is intended that part of the funds will be used for consultancy services for development of a Project Management Operational Manual.
The Project is designed to enhance Teachers and managers’ skills development and the use of technology to improve quality education and training. The specific objective of the project is to build capacity within the education and training sector in order to internalize the major management and training functions and deliver quality for technical and vocational skills needed in the Sudanese economy. The project is being implemented in three States: Khartoum, Northern Kordofan and White Nile.
Project has three (3) components as stated here
Component (1): support to Capacity Building for Improved Quality of Education System;
Component (2): Improving the the Teaching and Training Conditions in the TVE Institutions and
Component (3): Project Management.
The Project management Unit (PMU) of the Capacity Building for Improved Quality of the Education System and Skills Development Project, Ministry of Education, now invites Individual Consultant with significant relevant experience and skills to express their interest in developing the Project Management Operational Manual.
Consultant should have the following qualifications:
1. Proven at least seven (7) years of experiences with in project management and development of Project Documents and/or related documents.
2. Have experiences in similar assignments and within the educational competence Operational sector.
3. Proven experience in project financial management and in procurement.
4. The Consultant should have good skills in report writing in English language.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” May 2008, Revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
