ANNOUNCEMENT

Job Title: Information Officer

Based: Khartoum

Salary and job grade: Seale H-6 gross Salary is $768

Reporting to: Head of PCU

Length of Contract: One Year

Purpose of the position

ZOA leads partnerships implementing projects on integrated water resources management (IWRM) Both the Aqua4East and 1qua4D4f partnerships are coordinated.by the Project Coordination Unit (PCU) Within the PCU, the Information  Officer will be responsible for collecting and storing all relevant data of the two partnerships.

Key responsibilities

The Information Officer is responsible for the following tasks responsibilities and results

-          Digitalis data capture within the partnerships1 using Kobo Collect software

-          Manage the digital collection of data from several field offices.

-          Develop  relevant maps of project areas in a timely manner, as required by PCU or partners

-          Manipulation, analysis and presentation of geographical information by creating and using systems to convert GIS information  from one format to another

-           Manage all technical information  within the partnerships from databases, to surveys and assessments

-           Support head of PCU on water engineering issues1 as required

Authority

The Information Officer is authorized within the limits of an agreed Annual Plan of the PCU S/he is accountable to the Head of the PCU

-          programme staff of partner organizations in the Water for Three States and Water for Darfur projects (also where relevant their local implementing partners)

-           Other relevant coflt3CtS as directed by the Head of PCU with significant autonomy

Internal contact

-          Head of PCU is the supervisor and coach

-          ZOA file officer staff

-           ZOA county ِoffice staff

-           ZOA HQ staff as appropriate

Supervision

Competencies

Knowledge/experience

-          Minimum 1 year experience working in data management

-          Excellent command of English

-          BSc in water engineering  related field,

-          A post graduate degree is an advantage

-          Relevant accredited OGIS experience

-          Technical skills  related to WASH

-          Software technical skills  (KoBOC011e Excel)

-          High accuracy and attention to detail

-          Strong communication  skills

-          Strong interpersonal skills

-          Excellent organization  and prioritization skills

-          A highly ethical work standard

-          Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

-          Ability to work in a multi-cultural  setting

Location and Duty Station

Duty station is Khartoum

Special Conditions

-          up to 30 % of time required for travel to the two project areas in Darfur and the East of Sudan

-          The poison differs  from the general ZOA structure and is therefore temporary it Will be evaluated after one year

-          The information Officer Position is in scale H-6 monthly Gross salary is $768.
