  • PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • Responsible for the overall sales activities of the Company, by establishing and leading a fully integrated, development and sales strategy, promoting the Company’s products country- wise, delivering a customer focused service and maximizing the Company’s income and profits.

  • Under the overall direction of the Operation and within the framework of established policies and procedures, manages the affairs of the Sales Dept., and other related functions as required.

  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans and formulates the Company’s Sales policies.

  • Plans and formulates the Sales Departments’ business plans and policies within the frame work of established policies and procedures.

  • Plans and formulates the annual sales budget and forecast.

  • Plans and formulates customer service strategy and the performance measures.

  • Oversees all the sales activities of the Company (planning, promotion, customer services, PR, research, brand management, etc...)

  • Ensures that products distribution conforms to the overall guidance of the Company’s strategies.

  • Ensures that Sales personnel conduct themselves in the most ethical manner commensurate with the Company’s ethics policy.

  • Handles all complaints relative to product distribution as may be brought to the attention of the Sales Dept.

  • Maintains close contact with the Customers Care, Quality Assurance and Production Departments. To ensure that finished products available conform to sales expectations.

  • Maintains close contact with the Customer Care Quality Assurance and Production Departments to ensure that the product quality complaints are handled in the most professional way.

  • Maintains good contact with the relevant sales related bodies (Ads. Agencies…etc.).

  • Designs and implements comprehensive distribution strategy advertising and promotional programs to ensure the continued sales progress.

  • Endeavors, when needed, to develop profitable export business for the Company products.

  • Reviews possibilities of developing additional effective to sales techniques.

  • Makes recommendations on product pricing, monitors competitive prices and recommends price levels.

  • Participates in strategic planning to determine production volumes and product mix.

  • Evaluates new products in relation to available and competitive products.

  • Assesses market potential of new products and advises on packaging and pricing.

  • Visits distributors/retail stores and all outlets including institutions to monitor conditions.

  • Draws up plans and executes advertising/promotional programs in conjunction with Company’s policies, guidelines and budgets.

  • Maintains on-going surveillance of the market.

  • Identifies incremental volume and growth opportunities to be addressed with new products and packages.

  • Develops and manages launches and rolls-out plans in coordination with other Departmental Managers.

  • Monitors, analyses and reports on distributor's performance and cost.

  • To propose to the Company Management to develop special brand and package sales promotions, plans and programs.

  • Prepares and evaluates channel specific programs.

  • To perform any other duties as required by the commercial Manager.

  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably required.

  • Build the department capability, set and agree individual goals for all direct reports and evaluate individual performance providing regular feedback and coaching in line with good people management practices.

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

  • University degree (M.Sc., MBA or B.Sc.) in Sales, Business Administration, Management, or relevant field, OR reasonable experience in the position of sales manager not less than 10 years (preferable in sales and in specifically home appliances)

  • Courses in sales research techniques.

  • Exemption from Military Service.
